The center of "around here" starts with you

I got off at the Bogart St exit of the Morgan L stop yesterday.
Some guy in a car pulls up to me and asks: Do you know where Chez Bushwick is?
Me: No
Guy (exasperated) : Uhh, you know, the art gallery?
Me: No, I don't.
Guy: Well then do you know if Boerum Street keeps going for bit, that way?
Me: Sorry man, I don't know.
Guy: Is everyone around here a fucking idiot?
He then proceeds to try and make a quick u-turn, but fails, and it turns into a slow and awkward K-turn.
Me: Uhm, you're the one who is lost.
